This article is about the chapter. For the the location, see Diagon Alley.

Diagon Alley is the fifth chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Opening description

‘Can we buy all this in London?’ Harry wondered aloud. ‘If yeh know where to go,’ said Hagrid…

Closing description

Hagrid helped Harry on to the train that would take him back to the Dursleys, then handed him an envelope. ‘Yer ticket fer Hogwarts’, he said ‘First o’ September — King’s Cross — it’s all on yer ticket.'

History

This chapter used to be the most interactive "starter" point. New players would be required to collect items from the shopping list in order to continue forward. However, this process was expedited after one of the later pottermore updates. All events such as collecting items from a shopping list and unlocking Gringotts have been moved to the player's home screen immediately after confirming an account. However, all such items can still be viewed.

Moments

This chapter has 3 moments.

There were originally 4, but "Harry Goes Shopping" (previously Moment 3) was removed with the 2013 Pottermore redesign.
