The Golden Snitch is a golden ball the size of a large walnut with silver wings. The Seeker has to catch the ball during a Quidditch game to end the match. It is worth one hundred and fifty points.

Discovered in Book 7, Chapter 34, The Forest Again[]

The Snitch given to Harry by Professor Dumbledore contains the inscription I open at the close. When Harry presses the golden meta to his lips and whispers 'I'm about to die', the metal shell breaks open, revealing the Resurrection Stone.

The Golden Snitch on Playstation Home

The Golden Snitch moves around on the screen. It has a set pattern and pauses regularly, allowing the player to catch it. This can be made easier by turning the quality settings to 'low'.

On Pottermore at Playstation Home, a Golden Snitch can be seen outside of Quality Quidditch Supplies.

Use[]

The only use of the Golden Snitch is moving on to the next moment in the story. Besides that, it currently has no other known use on Pottermore.
