From the Story[]

Discovered in Book 3, Chapter 22, Owl Post Again[]

"The Quidditch World Cup is being held during the summer. Ron tells Harry that Mr Weasley can usually get tickets from work, and invites him to join them."

Discovered in Book 4, Chapter 3, The Invitation[]

"The Quidditch World Cup is being hosted in Britain for the first time in thirty years, and tickets are extremely hard to come by. The final match is between Bulgaria and Ireland."

Discovered in Book 4, Chapter 6, The Portkey[]

"The organisation of the Quidditch World Cup caused the Ministry of Magic many problems and they have been working on it for months. A deserted moor had to be found, and many anti-Muggle precautions had to be set up. Arrivals had to be staggered, and people with cheaper tickets were told to arrive two weeks beforehand. Many safe points were set up for Apparating wizards, as well as Portkeys created."
