Root of Asphodel is an ingredient used in potion brewing. As of August 2013, the entire plant (including the root) can be found in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban , Chapter 17 , Moment 1. First, hover your mouse pointer over Harry's wand to illuminate it. Asphodel will appear as a white flower in the midst of the roots of the Whomping Willow.
