For the chapter, see The Burrow.

The Burrow is the home of the Weasleys. It's located outside of Ottery St. Catchpole and it looks as if it's held together with magic - which it probably is. Harry describes it as the best house he's ever been in.

Introduction

The Burrow is the home of the Weasley family.

From the Story

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Discovered in chapter 3, The Burrow

The house is located outside the village of Ottery St Catchpole. The crooked structure has several stories, multiple chimneys on its red roof, and it looks as though it is held up by magic. Chickens peck in the yard and gnomes infest the garden. The interior is cramped, with magical knick-knacks everywhere, including a magical clock that does not tell the time but instead says things like"‘Time to make tea," and "You’re late." Mirrors speak, a ghoul bangs on pipes in the attic, and it is not uncommon to hear small explosions coming from the direction of Fred and George’s room.

The Weasleys also own a small paddock near the house, where the children sometimes practice Quidditch.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Discovered in chapter 5, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

The fireplace in the kitchen at The Burrow is connected to the Floo Network. The tiny kitchen is dominated by a fairly large wooden table.

The garden at The Burrow is bordered by rose bushes. The family sometimes use the garden for larger meals; when Harry and Hermione visit, they place two tables end to end on the grass to use at dinner.
