Pottermore- Book 3, Chapter 1 - Owl Post, Harry's Birthday

Harry in te Smallest Bedroom

When Harry Potter starts getting Hogwarts letters addressed to him in the Cupboard Under the Stairs, the Dursleys think it's about time he gets a proper bedroom. Thus, he gets Dudley's spare bedroom, in which he kept all his broken and unwanted toys.

Introduction

The smallest bedroom at four, Privet Drive, was Dudley’s second bedroom before Harry moves in – storing all the toys he could not fit in his first bedroom, most of which were broken. Harry relocates to this room after letters start appearing at the house addressed specifically to “Mr H. Potter, The Cupboard under the Stairs.”
