The Triwizard Cup is one of two prizes given at the Triwizard Tournament, the other being a personal reward of one thousand Galleons to the Tournament champion.

Discovered in chapter 28, The Madness of Mr Crouch[]

Ludo Bagman reveals that the Triwizard Cup will be placed in the centre of a maze on the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch for the third task of the Triwizard Tournament. The first champion to touch the Cup will receive full marks for the task.

Discovered in chapter 31, The Third Task[]

The Triwizard Cup stands gleaming on a plinth in the maze. When Harry and Cedric decide to grasp the Cup together, thus jointly winning the third task, it is revealed to be a Portkey, and transports the two boys out of the maze.

Discovered in chapter 32, Flesh, Blood and Bone[]

The Triwizard Cup is a Portkey, and delivers Harry and Cedric to a graveyard miles from Hogwarts, near to the Riddle House. Harry drops the Triwizard Cup to the ground on their arrival at the graveyard.

Discovered in chapter 34, Priori Incantatem[]

Harry Summons the Triwizard Cup towards him and the body of Cedric Diggory after breaking the connection between his and Voldemort's wands, using the Portkey to transport the pair back to Hogwarts.

Discovered in chapter 35, Veritaserum[]

The Triwizard Cup was carried into the maze and turned into a Portkey on the day of the third task by Barty Crouch Junior, disguised as Alastor Moody.
