|“|| To create the Unbreakable Vow, the two must kneel opposite each other and clasp their right hands together. A third person, the Bonder, performs the spell, placing the tip of their wand onto their linked hands. The witch or wizard requesting the vow asks their questions out loud. Once agreed, a thin tongue of brilliant flame issues from the Bonder's wand and winds its way around the clasped hands like a red-hot wire. If further terms are asked and agreed to, additional flames shoot from the wand and interlink with the first, making a glowing chain or rope.
Narcissa Malfoy asks Severus Snape to make the Unbreakable Vow to help her son, Draco Malfoy. Snape vows to watch over Draco as he attempts to fulfill Lord Voldemort's wishes, to protect him from harm to the best of his ability and to carry out Lord Voldemort's task if Draco is unable to, or appears to be failing.
